I ordered this plug as my first plug since I am pretty experienced with anal, but this plug is REALLY large. 2 1/4″” sounds a lot smaller than it is! The other reviews mentioned that the base is flimsy and slips in, but I believe they fixed the problem; I couldn’t get the base in on mine if I wanted to, it seems a lot sturdier than the other review claim. The only down side is the dual material design, with soft rubber on the outside, and hard silicone on the inside. This causes a weird feeling like the skin of the plug is slipping around, but so far it hasn’t affected the usage. Overall a very good, very basic, very large plug. The design of this plug is great, as it will enter almost like being sucked inside because of the tapered back end leading to the base. The problem with most of the Doc Johnson products is that while having a great design department, their end quality product is not the best in the industry. If Doc Johnson used quality materials such as silicone (like Tantus), they would be legends. Unfortunately, China gets to make these products for Doc Johnson, and quality control “”””isn????????t”””” one of their strong points. The plug is good to use for a while, but you want to watch it closely because it is actually made in two parts, an inner core, and an outer shell. The base is not very rigid and can be a hazard depending on how hard you play. It is fun to play with; it is just too bad that the material used is not the best (and yes it smells like plastic). At $10.00 you get what you pay for, but for a little extra piece of mind, the Tantus A Bomb would be a better choice, while much more expensive, you will feel more confident that you will not end up in any embarrassing situations at the ER, plus the Tantus product will last for decades.

Pretty poor quality, with the dual material construction and the outer surface having some unpleasant rough spots. I think this is more suitable as a novelty than for genuine use. The issue with the base mentioned in a 2004 review does appear to have been resolved though. Another issue I had with this plug is, I suppose, one of personal preference rather than a problem with the product itself, namely that the neck diameter at about 3cm is too small compared to the maximum diameter of 6cm. The result is that it’s not easy to remove and the lack of stretching while it’s in makes it less fun to wear because I hardly notice it once it’s in. After just a few uses, I have replaced this with one from the Domestic Partner brand that has a 6cm diameter and a 4.6cm neck diameter, and more satisfactory construction as well.

And we quickly discovered that the warning that appears in another review on this site is true, the base is NOT suitable for keeping the ENTIRE PLUG out of your rectum! I ordered this plug as my first plug since I am pretty experienced with anal, but this plug is REALLY large. 2 1/4″” sounds a lot smaller than it is! The other reviews mentioned that the base is flimsy and slips in, but I believe they fixed the problem; I couldn’t get the base in on mine if I wanted to, it seems a lot sturdier than the other review claim. The only down side is the dual material design, with soft rubber on the outside, and hard silicone on the inside. This causes a weird feeling like the skin of the plug is slipping around, but so far it hasn’t affected the usage. Overall a very good, very basic, very large plug. I’ve worn it for about 30 minutes now, and I’ve typed the whole review with it in!

The design of this plug is great, as it will enter almost like being sucked inside because of the tapered back end leading to the base. The problem with most of the Doc Johnson products is that while having a great design department, their end quality product is not the best in the industry. If Doc Johnson used quality materials such as silicone (like Tantus), they would be legends. Unfortunately, China gets to make these products for Doc Johnson, and quality control “”””isn????????t”””” one of their strong points. The plug is good to use for a while, but you want to watch it closely because it is actually made in two parts, an inner core, and an outer shell. The base is not very rigid and can be a hazard depending on how hard you play. It is fun to play with; it is just too bad that the material used is not the best (and yes it smells like plastic). At $10.00 you get what you pay for, but for a little extra piece of mind, the Tantus A Bomb would be a better choice, while much more expensive, you will feel more confident that you will not end up in any embarrassing situations at the ER, plus the Tantus product will last for decades.

Pretty poor quality, with the dual material construction and the outer surface having some unpleasant rough spots. I think this is more suitable as a novelty than for genuine use. The issue with the base mentioned in a 2004 review does appear to have been resolved though. Another issue I had with this plug is, I suppose, one of personal preference rather than a problem with the product itself, namely that the neck diameter at about 3cm is too small compared to the maximum diameter of 6cm. The result is that it’s not easy to remove and the lack of stretching while it’s in makes it less fun to wear because I hardly notice it once it’s in. After just a few uses, I have replaced this with one from the Domestic Partner brand that has a 6cm diameter and a 4.6cm neck diameter, and more satisfactory construction as well.
