The new design is clearly less expensive to make. The ring is all silicone rubber, and has an area that wraps around the vibrator, i.e. you slip the vibrator into, for lack of a better word, a pouch in the ring. Conceptually there is nothing wrong with that design. But they made two other changes that create two problems. First the ring is too small. Second the ring is not sufficiently elastic. You can shrink the ring diameter if you want, as long as it is at least as elastic as the old ring, preferably more elastic. It is not, it just won’t stretch enough.

This ring has the best vibrations ever! It rumbles with incredible power. Gets your whole package going. Unfortunately it is useless as a cock ring because it will not even fit a small guy like me (1.375″” dia). The reason for it’s failure is they used a material that does not stretch well. It hurts! I had to take it off after 5 min, and I still have some discomfort the next day even. It works great as a hand held tool though.
